Correct estimation of higher-order spectra: From theoretical challenges to practical multi-channel implementation in SignalSnap

A new study presents a framework for the unbiased and consistent estimation of higher-order spectra. The approach addresses mathematical challenges that can introduce spurious structures into spectral analysis.

Implemented in the SignalSnap Python toolbox, the method enables efficient analysis of correlations across up to four measurement channels. Single- and multi-channel examples demonstrate its practical application.
