Electrocaloric effect in triglycine sulfate under a strong internal bias field
J. Fischer, D. Hägele and J. Rudolph
A new study explores how a strong internal bias field controls the electrocaloric response of triglycine sulfate (TGS). Direct, time-resolved measurements reveal normal and inverse effects depending on the direction and strength of the applied electric field.
The results demonstrate that the temperature response can be tuned within a single field cycle, with these effects persisting from the ferroelectric into the paraelectric phase.
